OUR SHEEP & WOOL MILL
WCFP Shetland Sheep....
We LOVE Sheep!
We are a Certified Organic farm that uses holistic grazing practices. These methods help store carbon in the soil and in the wool produced by our sheep. We shear our sheep In March every year and harvest nearly 700lbs of raw wool, of which almost half is Certified Organic (there is a transition period so half of our herd is now considered Certified Organic).
We believe Wool is Cool and love sharing this wearable, renewable, natural fiber (and the sheep that produce it!) We strive to build positive relationships with our animals, team members and each and every visitor.
We started raising Shetlands in 2013 with 5 ewes and a ram...Our herd in 2026 is 170+ strong...We have a lot of sheep!
*Lambing returns in 2026 and we anticipate our 24 bred ewes adding 40+ lambs to our herd this year!
WCFP WOOL MILL
We create our own line of wool products born, shorn, milled and spun right here at the farm.
WCFP Wool Mill
We own a Belfast Mini Mill light manufacturing system that allows us to create our own wool products from sheep to skein.
The best raw wool is washed, tumbled, picked, carded, drawn, spun, plyed, skeined/coned in its journey to becoming yarn.
Medium quality raw wool is made into felted products using our wet felter.
And even our lowest quality wool is made into wool pellets that are terrific for garden use for moisture retention and added nutrients to the soil.
Specialty Home Goods
We have a small collection of our own gorgeous Wool Blankets woven on 1940s vintage Crompton and Knowles dobby looms by Bedfellows Blankets in rural Massachusetts available for purchase.
In addition, our friends at
Common Object Studio
have even crafted their own line of Furniture featuring our wool -
The Oka Chair
and
The Terra Lounge.
The Oka Chair uses our wool for a felted upholstery and
The Terra Lounge utilizes our lower quality wool as stuffing. Check it out!
